At its center sits a deep purplish spinel — a stone with genuinely exceptional clarity and color. (Please note: in photographs, the stone can appear more blue than it does in person; in natural or ambient light, it reads as a deeper, richer purple, closer to midnight than daylight. )
Around it, hand-pierced scrollwork in oxidized sterling silver curls like ironwork against a backing of pure gold foil, so the pattern seems to glow faintly from within its own shadow. A shell-shaped crown at the top and a drop finished with a single pearl below add a quiet gothic flourish — nothing loud, just enough to suggest a story.
