The graceful crane takes center stage, meticulously crafted in sterling silver with selective oxidation and polishing that creates dramatic contrast between the bright, polished feathers and darkened shadows, bringing dimension and life to the bird's flowing form.
Behind the crane rises a luminous golden sun, created using Keum-Boo technique—pure 24k gold foil permanently bonded to silver through heat and pressure, creating a warm, radiant glow.
Soft, billowing clouds drift across the pendant in a delicate matte gray finish, while the background sky is finished in deep matte black, creating atmospheric depth.
A striking red cabochon accent—created from copper using the traditional Japanese Hido heat patination technique—adds a jewel-like focal point, its rich burgundy tones achieved through carefully controlled oxidation. Below, a lustrous white freshwater pearl dangles gracefully, adding movement and organic elegance.
