A Lotus Rising From Still Water — Wearable Sculpture in Sterling Silver
This ring was conceived less as an everyday accessory and more as a small sculpture you happen to wear. It is substantial — 35 grams of sterling silver — and sits noticeably above the finger, so it is not a piece for daily wear or busy hands. Think of it instead for the moments when the heaviest thing you'll lift all evening is a champagne glass: it commands attention and speaks quietly but firmly to a refined eye for beauty.
The design captures a lotus blossom and its leaves rising from the surface of water. The pure white of the flower and leaves is a deliberate nod to the lotus's traditional symbolism of purity, while the contrast against the blackened silver base gives the piece a graphic, modern-art sensibility — sculptural, architectural, almost monochrome photography rendered in metal.
Materials & Finish
Solid sterling silver throughout. The dark elements are oxidized for a deep black patina; the lotus flower and leaves are pickled to bring out a soft, bone-white tone, then sealed with a protective lacquer coating before shipping. Because this lacquering is done to order, please allow a little extra time before your ring ships.
Sizing
Current sample size is US 8.25 / JP 17 号, but the ring is made to order in the size you request at checkout. Because of the design's balance and proportions, wearing it on the middle finger is recommended. The band itself is 4mm wide, so the ring is shipped slightly larger than a standard band of the same stated size to accommodate comfortable wear. Please note that very small or very large sizes may fall outside what can later be resized — feel free to message me before ordering if you'd like to talk through the best size for you.
