Walking is like a treasure hunt for jewelry motifs.
The other day, I found a tree with red leaves while walking.
The leaves were literally red and so beautiful.
I have a technique for turning copper red by heating it and dipping it into a borax solution.
This technique is called Hido in Japan.
How could I resist making a piece inspired by these red leaves using this technique?
Then I remembered I had a beautiful blue labradorite.
Red and blue - what a great color combination!
So I made this pendant.
You might see similar trees with red leaves in autumn and winter. This pendant would make a lovely accent on your sweater.
