A pendant where traditional Japanese craft meets Victorian elegance. The centerpiece is a rich, deep crimson cabochon created through Hido — a traditional Japanese heat patination technique applied to copper — producing a glassy, gem-like surface with extraordinary depth and warmth. Surrounding the Hido cab is a delicate halo of small gray freshwater pearls, set in hand-worked oxidized sterling silver with a twisted rope bezel that adds subtle texture and contrast. The darkened silver gives the whole piece a moody, antique quality that beautifully offsets both the vivid red and the soft luster of the pearls.
Suspended below is a teardrop freshwater pearl that shimmers with a multicolor iridescence — shifting between deep purple, forest green, and cool gray depending on the light. It adds movement and a touch of mystery.
The chain is also oxidized sterling silver, keeping the palette cohesive and the overall feel refined yet bold.
A wearable piece of craft heritage — ideal for those who appreciate jewelry with a story and a soul.
