The design represents an Akebi fruit and its vines.
The purple cab is a sugilite. It's color is really close to a real ripe akebi's color in my opinion.
The vines and the branch are made of oxidize sterling silver.
The back panel is made of sterling silver base and fine gold foil fixed by the technique called Keum Boo.
Black, gold, and purple make good contrast.
The body is also made of oxidized sterling silver.
The rims are chased like milgrain.
All hand fabricated.
