A pine tree is a typical motif in traditional Japanese design, which I incorporated into this necklace. If you're familiar with "Japonisme" from the Art Nouveau era, you'll easily recognize the association with this necklace. The pine tree section consists of two layers, both intricately engraved and textured to express the pattern, giving it a sense of depth. The frame is made of oxidized sterling silver adorned with scrolls. While the green stone resembles jade, its true identity eludes me.
